SpaceLab student presents Sprite research at AGU Fall Meeting

19 Dec 2016 - 15:30

SpaceLab doctoral student Stanislaus Nnadih had an opportunity to present his doctoral research work on observations of sprites at the American Geophysical Union's Fall Meeting in San Francisco. Nnadih, pictured here next to his poster, was the first person to record images of sprites over southern Africa as part of his doctoral research, which aims to shed light on the physical properties of sprites by studying them with ground-based multicolour photometric observations. At the AGU, he had an opportunity to interact with some of the world's leading experts on the topic and he is looking forward to his next sprite observing campaign in early 2017.
