Two SpaceLab students recognized as Emerging Space Leaders

SpaceLab masters students Ani Vermeulen and Louis Feng have been awarded Emerging Space Leader grants by the International Astronautical Federation to attend the 68th International Astronautical Congress in Adelaide in September 2017. Vermeulen and Feng are among  the 14 students and young professionals selected from a large international pool of applicants.  As recipients of this prestigious award, Vermeulen and Feng will participate in the 68th International Astronautical Congress (IAC) scheduled to take place in Adelaide, Australia from 25 – 29 September 2017. They will also participate in other activities to be held during the week prior to and during the Congress, such as the UN/IAF Workshop, the Space Generation Congress (SGC) or the Young Professionals Workshop and the Cross-Cultural Communications and Presentation Workshop and IAF International Student Workshop. UCT SpaceLab is extremely proud that two of the 2017 ESL awardees are SpaceLab students. Congratulations to Vermeulen and Feng on this great accomplishment.
