Pierre joined EUROSPACE in 1994 as a research Analyst after an 18 months period as a hired contractor for the European Space Agency. In EUROSPACE he was gradually given full responsibility over a series of studies and research activities for internal and external customers in the technico-economic domain, as well as in the policy area. In parallel he was also given management responsibility over various industry working groups (such as REACH. GMES, Navigation, Research and Technology, Standardisation, Markets etc.). He is since 2004 Director of Research heading all research activities of the Association.
In addition to its core EUROSPACE responsibilities, Pierre’s expertise was put to the service of various European initiatives, such as Invesat (a Europe Innova project) where he acted as member of the Advisory Board, he also supported European space policy development, as appointed expert for the French Economic and Social Council (CES) in 2003 and 2004 working with Counsellor Alain Pompidou. He is now a member of the Critical Space Technologies Steering Group of the European Commission.
Pierre also has teaching activities with Master students at the International Space University (Strasbourg), with the French Army's Center for Aerospace Strategic Studies and with professionals of the space sector within EUROSAE and IAS in Toulouse. He lectures on the Space economy, industrial economics, technology strategy, innovation and market studies.
